When one thinks about careers in airlines and aviation they normally think about pilots, air hostesses and traffic controllers. But there are many steps that lead to to the plane actually taking off. People must first choose their airline, and how they make their choice comes down to various factors. As there is a lot of competition in the airline industry, a good marketing and sales team is required to attract the customers. Once a ticket has been chosen, it needs to be booked, which is normally online, and requires customer service employees and IT professionals to oversee. Once someone has their ticket the must then go to the airport, where they need to check in, then go through customs and luggage control. Jobs in customs and luggage control require a lot of vigilance and attention to detail. Once the luggage has been checked it needs to be loaded onto the plane by luggage handlers, a job which requires physical fitness.
