The Head of Card Products will lead the development and execution of the product strategy for Yoma Bank’s new card business, including providing the thought leadership and vision for debit, credit, prepaid, and related payment products. The individual will be responsible for identifying current and future products & solutions opportunities through deep understanding of customer needs, potential fintech/technology partnerships, and awareness of local and regional technology and business trends influencing consumer behavior.
The Head will manage a team of Card Products team members driving each of them to the achieve the common goal of the business to introduce and manage a relevant and innovative suite of card products and solutions. To achieve this outcome, the individual and the team will work closely and effectively with Technology, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and other functions at Yoma Bank.
Education & Special Training
Essential• Bachelor’s degree in related field• Be a strategic thinker and have functional knowledge of how card products work.• Exemplify team work and leadership capabilities • Proven experience effectively working across functions, including with technology, sales, marketing, and other.• Experience in translating customer needs to product features and business requirements.• Excellent relationship management and collaboration skills including the ability to influence multiple stakeholder at different levels of the organization to deliver successful outcomes.• Strong people management skills, including proven ability to lead motivated teams.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to quickly gather, analyze and synthesize information. • Can-do attitude, willingness to learn and listen, ability to work independently, and strong drive to get things done.
Desirable• Business management education background preferred
Essential• 7-10+ years of experience in product management/sales/marketing in retail banking, card/payments, finance, technology, or consulting industries in similar job functions.• A strong cndidate will have experience in the card industry, preferably with a focus on Southeast Asia. Desirable• Experience in the card industry in Myanmar is a plus.
Essential• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to express ideas in a clear, concise and compelling manner and tailor communications for different audiences.
