STEAM Technician (Science and art technician)The role will involve helping out in both the science and art departments. The science technician role involves (but is not limited to) the following key responsibilities:• To work with the science teacher to ensure effective provision of practical work.• To support practical work in lessons.• To keep the science laboratory in an organized and systematic fashion.• To be responsible for organizing and safe storage of laboratory equipment and chemicals.• To support trialing of experiments before lessons.• To ensure that equipment is kept properly and maintained where necessary.• To make up solutions of differing concentrations and label when required.• To take an active interest in the teaching of science and use of equipment in the science classroom.• To ensure that health and safety is maintained in the science work area.• To comply with any reasonable request to undertake work of a similar level that is not specified in the job description.Art Technician – Job SpecificationThe Art technician role involves (but is not limited to) the following key responsibilities:• Display and rotation of artworks around both campuses.• To keep the Art rooms organized.• To maintain equipment and materials.• To prepare materials for classes.• To assist with documentation of students’ work.• To help order materials locally.• Mounting of artworks and printing of displays.• To manage the storage of materials and document the number of materials.
Possess a Bachelor’s Degree (in a relevant field);Hold relevant qualifications such as TEFL and/or TESOL;Have relevant experience in a similar role (preferably in an international school environment), working with the same age group;Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills;Be fluent in spoken and written Myanmar and have excellent spoken and written English;Strong computer skills;Show excellent use of initiative and motivation;Be a strong team player;
