Role summary: • Reviews, analyzes and recommends changes to production job requests and job scheduling.• Schedules, compiles & promote program and runs production job requests for Core Application. • Reviews, analyzes and implements any necessary corrective measures in response to production run error.Responsibilities:1) Job Scheduling & Problem Recovery • To schedule and setup daily/weekly/monthly batch jobs according to application requirements. And, to ensure correctness of the processing to meet management reporting timeline and online service commitment to business users.• 1st line support of production job a bend and provide batch job recovery within ( ) timeframe before escalate to next level.• To work on staggered shifts through the nights and weekend to advise and initiate recovery action during production a bends, and follow-up to close problem; initiate recovery action when job stream analysis indicates inaccurate or incomplete processing.• Review the revised/new Operation Manuals and amend the job setup accordingly. Report any irregularities found in the Operation Manuals or procedures.• Plan, implement and provide support for Disaster Recovery Drill2) Change Management • Perform program compilation and program transfer for UAT and Production environment to ensure integrity and security of the promotion process.• Coordinate and execute of the change request and ensure the correctness of the request.3) Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirements.Additional roles for senior production controller4) Assist Production Control Manager in preparing shift roster.5) Update monthly job schedule based on pre-defined users, bank and application cycles/calendars.
Experience:• Over one-year experiences in IT Field, within the insurance industryCompetencies:- Knowledge of DC job scheduling and operation standards.- Knowledge of CA Autosys and systems software or computer system relevant to assignment.- Skill in identifying, analyzing and troubleshooting errors
