Role summary: • The Business Analyst acts as a conduit between the business community and IT. He / she would be expected to have an understanding of the business process and be able to work within IT to recommend technical solutions to address business changing needs• The role holder would be required to document business requirements and facilitate user test planning to ensure that solutions developed matches that stated in the requirements.Responsibilities:• Requirement Gathering: • Conducts business scoping with the business users and develops quality business requirements within the agreed timeline for sign offBusiness Solutioning:• Analyzes business issues and performs business impact analysis and recommends best approach to solve problems• Reviews functional specification to ensure design meets the user requirement specifiedBusiness Testing:• Reviews business scenario and test scripting in ensuring they are in line with the business requirements. Conducts the review sessions with the users when required to ensure acceptance and signed off by users• Supports clarification from the testing team on the test plans and during test execution• Prepares the business scenario and test scripting• Conduct business test and to document test resultsUser Acceptance Testing:• Works closely with the end-users in conducting comprehensive user acceptance testing to ensure that the delivered product matches the stated users requirements spec• Guides the end-users on system changes and conduct training to the team (train the trainer concept)• Required to work closely with the business units and the technical development teams on all system implementation projects as well as maintenance ones
Experience:• Over one-year experiences in IT Field, within the insurance industry Competencies:• Articulate and proficient communication skills in English, both written and verbal• A logical approach to problem solving;• Good interpersonal skills with ability to manage users’ expectations and explain details in layman’s terms• Ability to work well under pressure• Knowledge of various personal and commercial lines of insurance products is an added advantageQualifications:• Bachelor in business-related course. Degree holders of Insurance Studies, Information Technology & Business Technology would be relevant
